This reading comprehension uses a BBC Newsround article to investigate the human side of the conflict in Syria.  A twelve year old girl explains why her family left Syria and what it was like to live in a refugee camp before they were able to move to the UK.
The resource contains 3 worksheets of questions, differentiated for use through KS1 and KS2.  It supports learning in SMSC and could also be used to support readers in KS3.  Answers and ‘content domain’ references are included for each question
