Debating - all resources needed for school debating competition

This resource includes all the documents needed to run an in-school debating competition. The first document includes nearly 100 different debate motions to chose from. The second is a marking grid to be used by the judges; each speaker is marked out of 100 based on style, content and strategy and the third document offers a more detailed version of this mark scheme. The fourth resource is a model display of how you might structure the competition, and the fifth document consists of the motions which I used for my latest competition as they are slightly more unusual/topical. The final doc is a sign-up sheet for the different year groups and speakers, as well as an info document on the rules, length of speeches etc.
