This resource is aimed at KS4 students and is useful as it covers the following learning objectives...

Identify the equations and terms for GPE, KE and Work done.

Describe the GPE of an object that is raised at a height, h, and hence the work done in lifting the object through this distance.

Explain by designing a workout, how you could burn off a mars bars worth of calories.

Apply your understanding of GPE and KE to find the energy, height and velocity of a rollercoaster at different points in its journey.

Link your understanding of EPE to this to find the velocity, height and EPE stored in a spring at different points during its motion.

There are differentiation opportunities for lower and higher ability students (check the green challenge questions). I have also included feedback boxes, in which you should put students names to keep individuals engaged and ready to learn and feedback. Additional video included to further enrich learning.
