This is a two page hand out you can use as a cover lesson or as a starting point for a series of art and design lessons looking at Fauvism.

The download includes an A4 PDF for easy printing, and the Adobe Illustrator build file so you can make edits if you need to. Ive also included JPEGs of the pages so you can preview them, or easily drop them into other resources you’re building.

The lesson is broken down into:

Context; giving an overview of Fauvism, and some of its key artists.

Task; gives students clear instructions and key style points to include to achieve a Fauvist look and asthetic.

Character, underlines the soft skills the students will be using alongside their designing skills .

Equipment; covers what they’ll need from you and what to grab out of their pencil cases.

Assessment; Key areas the students can use to self and peer assess their work are included and could be your plenary, or a starter prior to moving on to further related work.
