This listening pack is suitable for Year 9 studying Film music or for the start of a GCSE course.
Each homework sheet focuses on a different film composer. Pupils are required to listen to a piece of music on YouTube and answer questions relating to the given music.
Pupils can access the YouTube clip either by scanning the QR code on the homework sheet or following the link given.
Each sheet is marked out of 10. There is an optional ‘Stretch and challenge” question at the end of each homework sheet worth 5 extra marks. This question is usually a comparison question and requires more detailed use of musical key terms.

This resource saved me a lot of time. Each homework sheet is clearly set out - I uploaded it to Google classroom & a couple of pupils used paper copies, works well either way. <br /> Nice variety of question styles, and there are different levels of difficulty so ticks the differentiation box! Pupils liked the choices of film music especially the Ennio Morricone score.
