Give each pupil a word (or several) then say a sentence in English - if they have a word that makes up that sentence, they go to the front and arrange themselves in the correct order, and the rest of the class can assess whether they're correct. Start off with a very simple sentence (e.g. I like chocolate) then show them how this can be built up by adding reasons, connectives, intensifiers etc. I use this to then lead into them writing their own paragraphs, trying to develop their sentences as much as possible.
