A lesson in which students are taken through the initial aims of the Nazi Party and asked to discuss where each of these aims came from. They are then split into five groups, each being given a 'specialist topic' (Great Depression; Weimar government; Hitler's appeal; Fear of Communism; Nazi methods and tactics) and must explain the importance of their topic. Following this, student groups swap information with each other to complete the 'jigsaw'. They then complete a two-factor essay and peer mark them according to exam specifications (good practice for all students, but specifically based on the AQA GCSE History 9-1 specification).
