Lesson on the distribution of Volcanoes using top trump volcano cards.
Certain cards are picked- same ones from several packs are given to the students in groupos of 3-4. They play top trumps and then discuss the questions on the board after the LOs slide. After having shared feedback.
Students are to make links to the plate boundaries where students are to find volcanoes (see previous lesson) and to assess why certain volcanoes have specific characteristics from the top trump cards.
They have a series of activities to complete using the Wider World textbook. This can be adapted using a GCSE textbook e.g. AQA one.
