Monkey Puzzle - SEN activities

This pack includes;

1. Jigsaw puzzles (4 and 6 pieces)
2. Line tracing - this includes 2 different sheets with all different line variations on linking to the story. Straight, wavy, zigzag, etc.
3. Cut and stick monkey template
4. Butterfly matching activity and a template to create a symmetrical butterfly using shapes.
5. Match the adjectives - A picture from the story which then needs to be labeled with the correct adjectives. This is a cut and stick activity.
6. Label the pictures - A picture from the story which then needs to be labeled (tail, tusks, etc) This is a cut and stick activity.

8. Through the keyhole - A character from the story is hiding behind the keyhole. Can they use the clues to identify the character.
9. Shadow match to be printed in A3 - 2 pages from the story with parts blacked out. The children need to match the correct picture to the correct part of the story.
10. Find the missing sounds - This activity has pictures linking to the story and the children need to find the missing sounds by cutting and sticking or writing.
11. Order the full sentences - The children will have a picture which they then need to order the sentence to. The parts of the sentence will be cut up and the children will order them.
12. How many? - This is a counting activity. The children count how many they are, the images link to the story.
13. Match the sound to the picture - The children will have a picture with the caption ? is for Monkey. The children then need to stick the correct sounds on the correct pictures.
14. Match the captions to the pictures - The children will have a picture from the story and will need to match it to the correct caption.
15. Order the story - Pictures from the book to be ordered
16. Match the story - This activity is all about looking for the same. The children have to match the same page from the story.
17. Match the animals - This activity is all about looking for the same, The children have to match the same animals from the story.
18. Handwriting practice - This handwriting sheet focuses on the initial sounds from the story. m, s, b, etc.
19. Word story map - This can be used along side reading the story to help the children follow along.
20. Talk story - The full story using widgit symbols to help the children follow along and retell the story.
21. Complete the missing sentence ( 1 missing) - The children have a picture from the story and a sentence that matches, with one word missing. They need to use the pictured to help them complete the sentence.
22. Complete the missing sentences (2 or 3 missing) - This activity is the same as above, however, there is 2 or 3 words missing per sentence.
