Instructions for Board setup and fun Game rules provided.
Aim: To be the first player to reach the finish.

2 x A4 boards - join together - 54 squares in total - enlarge to A3 for best results

32 Game cards are provided to start you off. Questions on the four operations, Time, Money, Measurement and Fractions
Examples: 1.)Space Rescue - An astronaut collects 36 moon rocks on Monday and 49 on Tuesday. They pack the rocks into boxes that hold 5 rocks each.
Question: How many full boxes can they fill?

2.) Pirate Shop - A magic compass costs £18 and a telescope costs £24. Sam buys 2 telescopes and 1 compass.
He pays with £70.
Question: How much change does Sam receive?

An MS Word Template to create your own bespoke questions for the board game is provided. Pupils can have great fun making their own questions for the game too and they make great helpers in assisting with the cutting out of the Game cards.

Use these as standalone activities or incorporate them into the board game.

For Consideration: You take on the role as Quizmaster. Divide the class up into small groups. Give each group a counter, dice, playing board, Life and Lucky dip cards.
Use your OHP or IWB to display one question at a time from the Worksheet when a group lands on a coloured square ( rules explained in a file when you download the Game) Obviously, the groups will be on different squares at any given time so patience is important. This may sound a little fiddly to start with, however once every one gets the hang of it, great fun is guaranteed!
