Performance poetry unit, presentation and resources - learners write a poem about a planet KS2 Year5

This is a flip chart to be used with ActivInspire software the presentation will guide the teacher to teach the following...

Monday - 3 poems for learners to annotate / create a success criteria for what makes a good poem about a planet
Tuesday - Spelling task for words ending in ent, ant, ancy and ency - learners to write a nonsense poem using the spellings
Wednesday - Planning day (template provided) learners write examples of nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, alliteration, onomatopoeia, metaphors, similes and personification related to their poems.
Thursday - Learners to write their poems against the success criteria they made on Monday and apply the devices they had planned in the previous lesson.
Friday - Editing/Neat write up day - handwriting paper included on the ActivInspire to focus on letters that the children find tricky to join before editing and writing their work in neat.

Please note - Thursday/Friday has the activity, challenge and extension written but relies on the teacher scanning in a child's work to edit and improve.
