A code breaker puzzle on pie chart angles. Each of the 13 tiles gives one group out of a total, such as 15 out of 60. Students work out the angle of that sector, look it up in the Code Box and write down the letter it unlocks. The thirteen letters then unscramble to a two-word answer, with a clue to help.

The totals change from tile to tile, from 24 up to 180, so students work out the degrees for each group afresh rather than reusing one multiplier. The Code Box includes deliberate traps: for several tiles the raw count or the percentage is also listed with its own letter, so a student who stops before converting to degrees unlocks the wrong letter.

Answers are included as a separate file. Two copies per A4 page.

Suitable for GCSE Foundation (AQA S2) and for Key Stage 3 classes working on pie charts.
