This Reading Comprehension is suitable for Key Stage One learners. In the form of a report, the text describes polar bear’s habitat, body and food.

The text is differentiated for 3 ability groups and includes a dyslexia friendly version. Each version is accompanied by a questions and extension tasks (extension tasks for higher ability children).

This resource can be used to practice reading within language and literacy, to extend an understanding of report writing within L&L and to accompany a topic of winter within World Around Us.

The resource can be used in a language and literacy lesson or be given as homework.
