I have been an English Lead for over 10 years now and I created this plan and resources for an activity during World Book Day. Although, this can be used for a Guided Reading session too.
All resources are differentiated 3 ways and includes a lesson plan and whole class teaching Powepoint for the Starter. Focuses on chocolate bars which enagages the children right from the start and includes retrieval, comprehnsion and inference style questions. Used in Year 2 but cal easily be used in Year 1 and Lower KS2. This can nicely tie in with Willy Wonka and / or George’s Marvellous Medicine.
