These restorative reflection forms give Grades 3-5 teachers a structured, three-tier system for responding to behaviour incidents using restorative practice. Built on Wachtel’s five restorative questions and aligned to the IB Learner Profile, this resource supports both accountability and growth, helping students take ownership of their actions and repair relationships rather than simply receive consequences.

The tiered design means you reach for the right tool for the moment: a quick independent reflection for a minor incident, a guided two-way conversation for a conflict, or a full re-entry plan after a serious incident. Every student-facing page includes sentence starters that scaffold written responses for this age group.

The resource works in any classroom using PBIS, trauma-informed practice, restorative justice, or social-emotional learning frameworks, and it maps cleanly to the IB PYP and MYP Learner Profile and ATL skills. It is also aligned to CASEL’s social-emotional competencies.
