A lesson sequence I have put together for teaching the new SNAB 2015 units. These documents contain a logical lesson sequence for teaching Unit 3- Voice of the Genome and Unit 4- Biodiversity and Natural Resources. I have also provided colour coded revision mind maps I give to my students to cover each of the Units. Each Unit has been broken down into smaller sections which are also sub divided to help students organise their notes and revision.
Unit 3- Voice of the Genome:
Section 1 Cells: Organisation, Microscopes, Eukaryotic cells, Organelles, Prokaryotic cells, Cell Cycle.
Section 2 Reproduction: Mitosis, Meiosis, Mammalian Gametes, Fertilisation in mammals.
Section 3 Specialisation and Inheritance: Linkage of genes, Phenotype/Genotype interaction, Differential gene expression, Lac operon.
Unit 4- Biodiversity and Natural Resources:
Section 1 Plant Structure: Plant cells, Starch and Cellulose, Stem tissues, Transpiration, Mineral deficiencies.
Section 2 Natural Resources and Sustainability: Plant fibres, Drug testing, Antimicrobial properties and plants.
Section 3: Biodiversity and Evolution: Biodiversity and Endemism, Measuring biodiversity, Niche and adaptation, Natural selection and speciation, Conservation.
Both units also include instruction on where to complete core practicals and number lessons required to complete tasks.

DON'T PURCHASE - HANDWRITTEN NOTES - WASTE OF £3!!!!!!!
I can't believe I paid £3 for this. It is just a hand written list of topics and some fancy hand drawn mind maps - which are lovely, but I was expecting more for £3.
