Song "Dale la vuelta a la tortilla"

I created these activities as part of a GCSE enrichment session where not everyone was a Spanish student- lots of group work and peer support! It can also be used for an AS cultural/media discussion if you modify the follow-up activities. The song is full of references to participants' backgrounds, ideal for media research. The theme of the song is very positive so it may be just a good way of cheering up your students! I used it to revise countries and how to form nationality words. Students guess/say aloud the different nationalities and jobs that these celebrities hold. Afterwards I added some tasks on simple subject specific vocabulary related to jobs. Even without using the song you can use the video to encourage spontaneous speaking and review physical description, clothes, etc.
