T Level theory game

The Imposters Game is an engaging, fast‑paced activity based on the Traitors programme, that helps Early Years learners apply the knowledge and skills required for the T Level Early Years Educator (EYE) qualification. As students work together to identify the “imposter,” they actively practise key professional skills, including:
• Observation skills — noticing subtle cues, behaviours and patterns
• Communication skills — questioning, clarifying, explaining, and active listening
• Teamwork and collaboration — sharing ideas, negotiating and reaching group decisions
• Critical thinking — analysing evidence, evaluating different viewpoints, and justifying decisions
• Professional judgement — making informed choices based on available information
• Safeguarding awareness — recognising inconsistencies and potential concerns
• Reflective practice — reviewing decisions, identifying bias, and linking actions to theory
• Confidence in applying Early Years theories — behaviour, development, attachment, interactions, etc.
These skills directly support core elements of the T Level EYE, including professional behaviours, working with others, understanding child development, and applying theory to real‑world practice.
