An introduction to paper modelling / prototyping to create a 3D bodice. Students experiment with paper folding, kirigami, joining circles etc and then developing the paper bodice using them. Good introduction to surface manipulation and 3D construction.

Originally developed for KS5, but had really great outcomes with KS4, the photographs on the blue background are KS4 work.

Plastic drink bottles used as a mannequin to hold the bodice securely; with a little bit of water in the bottle they provide a stable base to work on.
