The resource is a template of a window frame which can be enlarged to an A3 for an art lesson linked to Literacy. The objective of the lesson is to create a scene outside the window. Suggestions include drawing a scene of your own choice or drawing a scene that follows on from the story. In other words making a prediction on how the scene outside the window continually changes. I would suggest colouring the wall and the window frame a light colour so that they do not distract from the main subject. Another suggestion would be to draw other items separate (teddy-bears, toys), cut them out and glue to the window sill. You're only limited by your imagination. I would love to hear any comments about this activity.

Excellent - thank you! I have adapted this to use as a way for my class to present their setting descriptions inspired by 'Window'. The window opens in the middle and inside are 2 contrasting setting descriptions - one about the first picture and one about the penultimate one. My class loved this!
