This is made for the new Y312 Popular Culture and the Witch craze of the 16th and 17th Centuries new specification for OCR A Level. You will need access to the Access to History textbook for this lesson.
This lesson begins with a Q and A and a reminder of what the Reformation is, alongside a sorting task about the events of the Reformation.
Pupils then watch the two videos, links included in the powerpoint, which show a witch trial before and after the Reformation. Pupils are then asked to consider the differences, before the differences are identified in the powerpoint. The lesson ends with some information given to the pupils about the impact of the Reformation.
