This is made for the new Y312 Popular Culture and the Witch craze of the 16th and 17th Centuries new specification for OCR A Level. You will need access to the Access to History textbook for this lesson, and if you have it, the new Edexcel witchcraze textbook (the witchcraze in Britain, Europe and North America).
This is two lessons, which are very straightforward.
Legal Changes starts with an odd one out task, then asks pupils to create a timeline of legal change in three or four colours (for each country)before a simple guided note-taking.
Legal change people and publications starts with a quick Q and A, then a division of work between the class. Pupils work in groups to research each person, they then put notes on the whiteboard, and when ready, teach the rest of the class about the impact of that person. This is then followed by guided task looking at the impact of specific publications (textbook pages clearly labelled).
