These spellings are taken from the Word list - years 3 and 4. I have replaced spellings with emojis so the children have to guess the word then spell it correctly. I have also misspelt other words from the word list and children have to be spelling detectives and find the misspelt words and spell them correctly. Words included in this text are: certain, circle, different, earth, eight, eighth, famous, heart, island, knowledge, learn, library, pressure, question, surprise and women. Could be used as homework or as a spelling starter activity in English.
