This is a 4 part lesson that I have created for Year 7 KS3 students in 1 hour lessons. I have covered most of the topics associated with the Starchy/Carbohydrates family. I am currently using this with my Year 7s, however can be used with other years if need be. I have used levels, blooms taxonomy color coding levels and wording. Feel free to change it, I have also added a practical method in it as my students are learning about Carbs but our actually practical is making bread so the method is in here too. I did a mini demonstration before students did their own and they also learnt what the functions of bread ingredients do and students responded well through AFL strategies, such as open ended questions, going round each cooking table and quizzing students on what ingredients does what etc.
