This unit of work is designed to introduce learners to the concepts developed in the 20th Century in music. It first looks at minimalism, then serialism (including getting pupils to write a full set of tone rows) and aleatoric music.

Pupils then choose one of these mediums and use DAW software to create a piece using the techniques of that genre.
