Lesson designed for the AQA History Depth Study: Elizabethan England. The lesson examines Elizabeth’s changing laws against Catholics during her reign. The aims of the lesson are:

Explain why Elizabeth’s policy changed

Lesson designed for the First World War (Conflict and Tension) unit, as part of the AQA History spec. The lesson examines why the Allied offensive in 1918 was successful. A range of activities are included, such as a diamond 9, source analysis, video task, comprehension question, and a data collection table. The lesson could easily be adapted for a KS3 audience.

Lesson designed for the AQA 8145 History Specification. Lesson enquiry focuses on: How successful was Raleigh in the New World?
The lesson has three outcomes:
Describe Raleigh’s attempt at colonising the New World
Explain reasons why early attempts failed
Compare the achievements of Raleigh and Drake and explain the better ‘sea dog’
Activities include retrieval noughts and crosses, information sheet with questions, source work, creating a statue on the better sea dog and Splat!.
