I am a PE teacher who has taught the subject for 14 years. I teach A Level to the OCR specification. I have worked for Ofqual to accredit the new specifications, so know the new A Level PE course inside out. I also teach G.C.S.E PE to the Edexcel spec. I am a practical moderator at GCSE level and an exam marker at A Level. I also teach BTEC level 3 Unit 1 and I have worked again for Ofqual to look at this vocational course and to compare it with others, namely the OCR technicals.

GCSE PE Edexcel Individual Sports Banding Criteria Sheets (New Spec 2016+)

These are the GCSE PE banding criteria grade descriptors for Edexcel’s GCSE Physical Education Award (New Spec 2016+). It includes all of the individual sports from amateur boxing to trampolining. It uses Edexcel’s terminology from the NEA for each of the sports for the bands 1-5. The sheets are useful as they can be printed out and laminated back to back instead of Edexcels 5 pages. Ive printed these off for the sports hall wall and laminated for our dept’s folder.

I have used it for revision and to show the differences between anaerobic and aerobic athletes.

This is a word processed document with the learning objectives (set from OCR) for each of the modules: Anatomy & Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Skill Acquisition, and Sport Psychology. It is colour coordinated. RED = bad, Yellow = medium, Green = good. The students can use them as revision sheets or as I use them to tick/x during the lesson to see what they have learnt/not learnt. Good for plenaries too. I have mine on card and laminated so they can be wiped down. Can be stuck around the room too in revision season!! If your school allow it!!

GCSE PE Revision Connect 6 Game (edexcel)

This is 4 pages of questions on each topic of the new specification of Pearson’s GCSE PE. There are 6 rows and 6 columns on each page. The colours correspond to a topic. There are 2 pages on component 1 & 2 pages on component 2. This can be used as revision in pairs with counters to get across the board (as the top columns are the easiest questions) or down to see if knowledge is good/bad on a particular topic. Makes revision competitive and more fun!! Ive laminated mine.

Planes & Axes is for MA - its a table that students who find it easier to understand can fill in. The Planes -laminate is 6 pictures of stick men that can be either cut out or laminated and the students can label the correct axes or planes. I have even used some of these at A Level!! Then PLANES is a quick knowledge quiz /15. The answers for each sheet are also attached in RED so you can clearly see the answers, if like me this is a tricky area for you & your students!!

Young Netball Leaders Booklet

I made a course up for my talented netballers who were all level 7's/8's and needed something to challenge them. It is a booklet that they fill in and an exam at the end that they have to pass. The booklet is a step by step guide on how to umpire and coach younger students at netball. The sports leaders group have also used it. Certificates can be made to say pass on too.

E.g. for Skill Continua, the Muscular Continuum: Gross v Fine. Ive used it for my students in preparation for their mocks. My weaker students ticked the boxes, my stronger ones filled in the boxes. Good to know what they know/dont know. TOPICS: 1 Continua - 7: Feedback. And A2: Memory.
