This is an 8 slide PowerPoint that covers BTec National Engineering (A-Level equivalent) on the topic of Heat Engines and Heat Pumps. This lesson covers the calculations for calculating the thermal efficiency for these systems, including a worked example for a modern combustion engine.

This is a 12 slide PowerPoint that covers BTec National Engineering (A-Level equivalent) on the topic of Efficiency and Mechanical Advantage as applied to lifting machines in engineering.
This is the seventh PowerPoint in this section which covers Mechanical Advantage and Velocity Ratio in ideal systems and then applies this to non-perfect scenarios so that efficiency can be calculated. The lifting machine of a block being pushed up a slope is used throughout this PowerPoint to cover this topic in an easy to understand manner. This is extended to more complex listing machines in the next PowerPoint in the series.
This PowerPoint lesson on The Universe covers the introduction of what is in the universe and what we can see and measure in the night sky (planets, stars, asteroids, galaxies etc.). There is also a set of questions and answers.
