I am an English teacher with several years experience of working in 6th forms. I was recommended by my Head of Department to share my resources on TES after he consistently praised my lessons and schemes of work for how easy they are for teachers to use and access them. I pride myself on my planning, and make sure each slide of each lesson is aesthetically pleasing, with a clear title, main task, and usually an extension task.

There is context for each text/writer, and tasks to examine genre/audience/purpose, tone, text conventions, and other features more specific to the text. The second text of each genre is also encouraged to be compared with the first (i.e. so you compare both articles in the final articles lesson) The research might require students to go online - perhaps on phone or laptop.
