Pupils listen to the song “Spider Cochon” and complete a gap-fill listening challenge. This is a fun activity that can be used with all age groups and reinforces the skill of listening for key sounds and following a script. The teacher PPT clearly displays the solutions taking pupils through the song step by step. Pupils love to sing the song together and it lends itself to creative work whereby pupils can create the next verse. Listening is often the skill pupils find most challenging and this fun activity can help to challenge barriers to learning. This would be great for a taster lesson. Pupil and teacher friendly.
