A powerpoint, activity and double-sided worksheet on Viking gods and goddesses. I made this for a high-achieving Year 5 class but it can be adapted quite easily.

Used with a high-achieving Year 3 group to introduce common, proper and abstract nouns. I then used a worksheet to get them to practise further.

A 10-lesson unit of work made for UKS3/KS4 based upon the Existence of God topic. Much time, effort and love has gone into this unit of work because it will be used trust-wide across our network of secondary schools (in Year 9, in our case but easily adaptable). Includes many opportunities for exam-style questions based upon the Edexcel GCSE format with appropriate cheat-sheets including sentence starters, helpful quotes and formatting hints. There are also opportunities for debates with planning sheets and clear rules, as well as creative activities to keep the children engaged whilst they’re learning. Topics include: What proof is there of God? (2 hour-long lessons) How does God show his love for us? God’s ultimate show of love for us through Jesus’s sacrifice Revelations (2 hour-long lessons) Miracles The Problem of Evil (2 hour-long lessons) What can we learn about the afterlife from the Book of Revelation?

A bundle of 5 fully resourced hour-long lessons with worksheets, ppts, videos, scaffolding and frayer models - just print and go. Much time, effort and love has been put into this bundle of lessons as I made it as a scheme of work to be used across our entire trust of academies. Lesson 1 - What was so radical about Jesus? Used with my Y10 and 11 GCSE classes for Edexcel but can be adapted for other exam boards.

These interactive and engaging lessons were created for use in a high-achieving Year 4 class but could easily be adapted for other ages or abilities. Lesson one starts off with a historical mystery - where has a buried skull come from? It then feeds through to information about the Celts, before getting the children to create a leaflet about the Celts. Lesson two explains about Celtic religious beliefs and festivals before the children make a spinner out of card to show different festivals.

Two A3 sheets with quick-answer revision questions as well as longer exam questions for the kids to tackle independently using the Edexcel revision guide textbook (or their own workbooks, knowledge etc). Each sheet should take an hour to complete.

Set out in a geography mystery format, the children start off by being time travellers who have dropped into a period of time and have to work out where they are using a series of clue cards. It turns out they’ve landed in the middle of an enormous earthquake and have to produce a survival guide to help anyone who is in the same situation. Used for a high achieving Y5/6 class but can be adapted.

Basic script for run up to lesson on play writing - we're going to start writing our own plays based on where this script leaves off. Used with a Y4 class but easily adaptable for all of KS2. Also includes worksheet for planning their own knight, and one to write about and draw key features of knights (like chivalry, bravery etc).

4 ppt presentations and two worksheets on the topic of the Caribbean. Originally created for use with a high-achieving Year 6 class, these lessons can easily be adapted for use with other age groups and abilities. Topics include Caribbean culture, piracy and triangular trade, and weather systems including Hurricane Sandy.

Ppt to introduce Ancient Egypt topic used with a high achieving Y3/4 class as well as a blank leaflet template for the children to create info sheets about Egypt.

Used in a high achieving Y3/4 classroom, but easily adapted. The children have to use column addition to plan a party budget. There are also gift vouchers, additional problem sheets and shopkeeper responsibilities that can be shared out and help to differentiate. I set this up as a proper shop using my highest achievers as shop-keepers. We used play money, set the classroom up as a shop and had some items set out for children to ‘buy’.

Three lessons based upon the Ancient Greece topic. The first lesson is a ppt presentation which uses true/false format questions to engage the children in learning about Modern Greece. The children will then produce a leaflet about Modern Greece. The second lesson is about daily life in Ancient Greece. Again there's a ppt presentation as well as cards to cut out and order for a hands-on activity. The children will then sketch an aspect of life in Ancient Greece to create a classroom display. The third lesson is about gods and goddesses in Ancient Greece with various discussion opportunities and mini activities. The children will then sketch and write about different Greek gods. I originally produced these resources for use in a high-achieving Year 4 class but they can very easily be adapted for different ages and abilities.

6 full lessons made for KS3 in a comprehensive workbook - no preparation needed. Lesson objectives include: 1 - To draw comparisons between two great explorers, and discuss how faith may have helped them on their journeys. 2 - To consider how faith can help people through exceptional circumstances. 3 - To investigate the holy city of Varanasi and the pilgrimage focused on the River Ganges. 4 - To understand why Muslims make the pilgrimage to Mecca. 5 - To explain the significance of the Golden Temple for Sikhs. 6 - To explain using key terms why the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is sacred to Christians.

A ppt to introduce coral reefs as well as two worksheets. One requires the children to use the internet to research organisms that depend upon coral reefs, whilst the other has different questions based upon the ppt. Used for a high-functioning Y6 class.

Basic book review sheet used with a Y3 class

A workbook made for Y8 but also used with Y9 to discuss religious perspectives on the Holocaust. Includes 4 complete lessons in a self-contained workbook perfect for home learning (but also great for use in school). Lesson Objectives are: Lesson 1 - To recognise the difference between prejudice and discrimination. Lesson 2 - To understand and debate the concept of conscience. Lesson 3 - To understand that there were many everyday heroes of the Shoah who showed enormous altruism and self-sacrifice in order to help others. Lesson 4 - To consider the question of whether it is always good to forgive.
