
This is a physical game that helps students understand that magnetic fields are everywhere.
The Setup: Hide small magnets around the classroom or under desks.
The Game: Give student pairs a compass. They aren’t allowed to look for the magnets with their eyes; they must follow the needle of the compass.
The Goal: The first team to map the “field lines” of the room and find all the hidden “poles” wins. This teaches them how a compass reacts to a field’s presence and direction.
