Algebra. Simplifying Expressions. Basic Fractions. Letter in Numerator and Denominator. FREE SAMPLE

Brighten up algebra lessons in the run up to Christmas with this fun little festive challenge.

Students are presented with four algebraic fractions, each representing an ingredient for my icing mix. They need to simplify all of these fractions in order to work out the ingredient quantities - icing sugar, glycerine, egg whites and lemon juice.

This is a PowerPoint presentation so it can be easily displayed on the board and/or printed for students.
