The lesson begins with the inference worksheet, analysing the lynching of Ella Watson and students answer the questions around the source.
Students will then read the information sheet relating to the Johnson's county war - they firstly read independently and then in pairs, explain what they have found and add any more knowledge to the inference sheet to highlight their progress.
To finish the lesson, I use the plenary wheel for students to reflect upon their learning.
