Week 5 of 12- An exploration of daily life as an Egyptian slave, a merchant and a nobleman in the ancient Egyptian civilization. Children will create a daily schedule and engage in drama activities to immerse in the topic.

This product contains an 24-slide Teaching PowerPoint and 4 main tasks that can be printed or completed digitally via PDF copies. The PPT guides students through learning the key details about daily life as 3 different sects of society: Slaves, merchants and nobles. The first task sees children reading and understanding definitions of topical vocabulary, then matching them up to the words using the worksheets included in this pack. Task 2 sees children research the daily life using the QR codes, videos and slides provided. Task 3 involves using Talk for Learning to discuss what they found, and Task 4 is a drama activity to explore how these different sects may have interacted with each other. These activities can be conducted individually or in small groups both physically or digitally. The focus is on recalling key facts and independent research using the internet.
