A 23 page resource to introduce Key Stage 3 students to Language Paper 2. The questions and requirements reflect the AQA paper, but we used two Bowie songs as a stimulus as they were shorter and more accessible then 19th century texts. 'Edna the Examiner' takes students through each of the four reading questions and the descriptive writing task; with model answers, a guide to completion, mark schemes, scaffolded tasks to prepare an answer and important exam tips. There is space for students to complete each question, with attached self-assessment. It can be an excellent lesson tool, homework book or revision exercise.
