Four examples/questions on prime factor trees using the ‘Backward Faded’ structure whereby the scaffolding given is gradually removed and students need to fill in an increasing number of steps.

Colour coding has been added to help students see the structure of the solutions.

Can be used as independent investigation work for new topics, structured practice for topics already taught, or as whole class examples for the teacher to talk through.
