This play for primary schools looks at biodiversity in rice in India and what happens when only one type of rice is grown and that crop fails. Children will learn about biodiversity, about supply and demand and about the effects climate change and population have on the food they eat. This is the Welsh version of the play script.
The play lasts around 15 minutes in performance. The scripts have roles for everyone in the class and not only explore topics but develop transferable skills such as teamwork, creativity and leadership. It is great to perform for the whole school community. You might use them for assemblies, harvest festivals, and special food related events like World No Meat day.
