Battleships in Spreadsheets

This is fantastic - many thanks. It fits very nicely into a single one-hour lesson, and I used it with both Y8 and Y9 and they all really enjoyed it. I extended it slightly by adding conditional formatting to the playing field so the tiles which contain a 'hit' change colour which they loved (being an all girls school). Cannot recommend this enough as a sweet, neat all-in-one lesson for learning COUNTIF, IF (and conditional formatting too) Many thanks Jane!
