The resource is a set of cards with clues/questions about the distances and relative positions of five people on a football pitch.
Students have to sort the information and use it to make an accurate scale drawing in order to then answer the questions. (Some of the questions can be answered using knowledge of back bearings without having to use the scale drawing.)
My students found sorting the information and using it to make a sketch difficult but it's a good problem solving exercise.

Great idea. Should make my top set in year 10 think, and thinking will use as a group activity.
