Black Death: gap fill and ranking activity

There are two tasks on this worksheet:

The first is a gap fill (/missing word/fill in the gaps) activity covering where the Black Death of 1347 came from, why is spread around the world so quickly, how humans get infected, symptoms of the bubonic plague, and medieval reactions to the disease.

The second task is a ranking activity, asking students to reflect on what they have learnt in the gap fill and rank the reasons why the Black Death spread so quickly.

This activity is suitable for all Medicine through Time syllabuses. Although this is a sheet-based activity, the text could be copied and adapted to be set as online work on a vle/sharepoint platform.
