Body organs - Paper Doll -Cut and Stick activity. Biology Tissues and Organs. End of term/Christmas

My Year 9 have loved this activity. I have used it to introduce the ‘Tissues and Organs’ topic for GCSE Biology. It includes a Body Template and 12 major organs from different systems to colour, cut out and stick onto the body. They end up with a sort of ‘pop up’ or ‘open the flaps’ type poster. The main learning value was in them researching the functions of each organ. The amount of detail you ask for can vary upon the group. They can create a key to summarise their research. Lovely last lesson of term activity. I did put the names of the organs on the board for them and also talked them through the major organs first with a model body. If you don’t have a model body you could show a diagram or video.
