Teach from the screen, then extend the learning with illustrated printables—all for £4.50. Save 25% compared with buying the £3 lesson pair and £3 printable pack separately.

Explore Caesar’s invasions of Britain in 55 and 54 BCE through a resource bundle combining historical enquiry with reading, discussion and evidence-based writing.

Designed for Upper KS2, particularly Years 5–6, this bundle helps pupils compare the expeditions, question sources and reach a supported judgement: how successful was Caesar?

What’s included?

  • Editable PowerPoint: 18 widescreen slides with adaptable text, questions and layouts.
  • Illustrated PowerPoint: 18 widescreen slides featuring rich historical scenes and visual sequences.
  • 10 illustrated A4 printables: one At a Glance reference sheet and nine pupil activity sheets, supplied as a black-and-white PDF.

The PowerPoints present one lesson in two formats, allowing you to choose the presentation style that suits your class.

A lesson you can teach without handouts

The PowerPoint activities use projected slides, discussion and pupils’ exercise books. Teacher notes include model answers, vocabulary definitions, support prompts, historical references and suggested 30-, 45- and 60-minute routes.

Optional extensions explore the disputed elephant story, examine a Roman coin and invite pupils to design an imagined commemorative coin.

Printables for further practice and consolidation

The printable pack includes reading comprehension, vocabulary matching, illustrated sequencing, comparisons and numerical reasoning. Pupils also examine Caesar’s reliability, explore what evidence can prove and write a balanced final verdict using an evidence bank and sentence starters.

Use selected sheets alongside the lesson, revisit ideas afterwards or work through the pack across several sessions.

Pupils develop historical knowledge while learning to explain their reasoning, question interpretations and support conclusions with accurate evidence.

Included: two PowerPoint files and one 10-page printable PDF.
Bundle price: £4.50 — save £1.50 (25%).
