Free climate investigation for ages 14–16. Students change key climate variables, compare outcomes and explore how Earth’s climate system responds.
Climate Machine is a short classroom investigation built around the free Dig Earth Studio interactive climate model.
Students experiment with different conditions, observe how the model responds and use their results to investigate relationships within Earth’s climate system.
Rather than simply reading about climate processes, students make predictions, test scenarios and use evidence from the model to explain what they observe.
