Objective (A03): Grade 3: Make obvious point of comparison. Make simple comments on writers’ ideas and view points.
Level 4: As above and makes some specific references to theme, language and structure.
Level 5: Discusses a range of comparisons in some detail. Explains the writers’ ideas and viewpoints with quotations to support.
Pupils complete a series of activities to build a framework to asses both poems. They then complete an analysis framework sheet and a series of P.E.E paragraphs (with a support sheet for LA pupils).
