I made this as an activity for year 10 students on an enterprise day 1-1.5hrs long
Included is :
A PowerPoint on the basics of Cryptography, a couple of short videos and solutions.
A document with four different coded messages using Morse code, Pig Pen cipher, a number substitution cipher and Caesar Shift cipher.
Fact sheets so students can look up how to decode each message.
GCHQ extension puzzles with clues and answers. The puzzles are taken from the GCHQ puzzle book.
Students were very engaged and seemed to enjoy having to figure out the method to decode themselves, from the fact sheets .

A lovely resource outside of the typical curriculum which I think students would find interesting, I will be using this when we have our alternative provision days. Thanks for sharing! :-)
