CVC Missing Middle Vowels Worksheet

A free sample from my CVC Missing Middle Vowels Pack.

This worksheet contains 9 pictures with the middle vowel missing from each word. Children look at the picture, say the word aloud and work out which vowel is missing.

I’ve kept things simple, with clear pictures and a handy little vowel guide at the top to help children remember the five short vowel sounds (a, e, i, o, u).

It’s useful for independent practice, small-group phonics work or a quick check to see which vowel sounds children might be struggling with.
