This is an skills tracker tailored towards the new EdExcel 9-1 History exams. It provides space for teachers to enter marks and then produces a visual breakdown of areas of strength and weakness per topic and per question type. Originally designed by myself as a HoD tool to monitor whole-department progress, it can also be adapted to be used with individual classes and as a personal digital mark book.

What it does:

- Provides space to enter marks for the full range of 13 question types students are required to focus on for GCSE History and then allows you to identify areas of strength and weakness both for individual students and for a whole class/department.
- Provides analysis on a per-topic basis, revealing which topics students are strongest and weakest in.
- Algorithm which converts a percentage into the new 9-1 grading (beta).

Applications:

- Feedback to students on areas for improvement
- Feedback to parents at parents evenings/revision events to help guide their intervention
- Analysis post-exam for SLT
- Analysis on student and class performance in exams to show progress over time
- Analysis to inform intervention offered in run up to exams

This skills tracker is tailored to the following units of study:

- Superpower Relations: Cold War
- Germany 1919-1939
- Anglo-Saxon and Norman England
- Crime and Punishment

However, these can easily be changed in the algorithm. The exam questions remain the same and therefore will provide the analysis regardless of units studied.

This is a great but can you tell me why the 16 mark Crime/Medicine questions are left out? Is there a way to add this and adapt the formula to include this? I am unsure how to unhide the formula columns to try to work this out myself!
