A lesson focused on getting students to practise ending a drop, shift, zoom, leave narrative by practising the ending where the character takes a decisive action to help release the built up tension.
There are two examples where the drop, shift and zoom have been written so students can work on crafting an effective ending. Both also use an object as a motif and use a single sentence paragraph to increase the structural impact.
As a starter, there is also a 20 question multiple choice quiz to help students revise the key features of a drop, shift, zoom, leave narrative and why it works so well within the 45 allotted minutes of an AQA exam.
