English Framework Y7–9: Planning, Drafting and Presenting Work

Ten writing projects, each developed through three worksheet lessons with teachers’ notes: 30 lessons in a 69-page PDF. The pack also includes a checking-for-accuracy sheet, general guidance and its original English framework reference pages.

Projects cover description, autobiography, argument, advertising, narrative, formal reports, scripts, newspaper articles, letters and tourist information. Each sequence moves from generating ideas and planning to a first draft and a revised final version, with attention to clarity, accuracy, style and impact.

Designed for students in Years 7–9 across the ability range. The three lessons in each topic follow on from one another, while allowing students to work at different rates. Teachers’ notes give aims, preparation, classroom guidance and extension activities where appropriate. Use the check sheet to support redrafting and editing.
